Lake Victoria South Water Services Board, Kenya

Lake VictoriaColer & Colantonio, Inc. was awarded a second contract with Kenya's Lake Victoria South Water Services Board (LVSWSB). This contract allows us to implement recommendations included in the water and wastewater services feasibility study conducted in 2005-2007. Coler & Colantonio, Inc. will be: pursuing and securing financing; developing base maps; addressing power needs; securing equipment and providing equipment training; and, reactivating a major portion of a water distribution system.

The ABC's of Progress

The ABC's of ProgressColer & Colantonio, Inc. has recently become a member of A Better City (ABC); a nonprofit membership organization that provides leadership necessary to progress Boston's development and infrastructure improvements thereby fostering the area's economy and quality of life. Jim Colantonio has also been elected to ABC's 2009 Board of Directors. Ron Coler and Kenny Caputo are also actively involved in the Sustainability and Climate Change Committee and the Transportation and Construction Committee respectively.

Welcoming New Additions…

The ABC's of ProgressPaul D. Guertin, P.E. has joined Coler & Colantonio, Inc., a Norwell based Engineering Firm, as Group Manager of the Government Sector. Mr. Guertin brings over 40 years of transportation and engineering experience to the firm.


The ABC's of ProgressEdgar B. Sweet III, P.E. has recently joined Coler & Colantonio, Inc. in their Norwell office where he will assume the position of Director and Managing Consultant for the company’s Industry Consulting Services.
Ed is a licensed professional engineer and experienced management consultant. He possesses a unique set of personal and professional skills, deep understanding of the energy and utilities industries, and nearly thirty years of domestic U.S. and international experience.


The ABC's of ProgressColer & Colantonio, Inc., a Norwell based engineering firm, appointed Stephen J. Ritchie as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Coler & Colantonio, Inc., he served as CFO and Principal for SEi Companies, Inc. / WPS Flack + Kurtz. Steve brings to the firm over two decades of financial and administrative executive experience in the engineering field.

The ABC's of ProgressColer & Colantonio, Inc.’s Glen Cote attended The Annual Conference on Soils, Sediments, Water and Energy, October 19-22, 2009, at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. During the Conference, Glen presented a paper entitled “Successful Cleanup of Chlorinated Solvents and Petroleum at Jewelry Manufacturing Facility Utilizing the Multiple Response Action Approach”. Geospatial Technology on the Road...

The ABC's of ProgressColer & Colantonio, Inc.'s Jeff Allen attended the Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODSTM) Association, Inc.'s User Conference on September 17th in Houston, Texas. As a member of PODSTM Strategic Planning Committee, Jeff participated in a Q&A session with conference attendees about recently presented growth and development plans.

The Geospatial Technology Sector exhibited at the GITA's 18th Annual GIS for Oil & Gas Conference held in Houston, Texas in September. The firm's Jeff Allen and Ed Sweet each presented papers at the conference with their co-authors as part of the Knowledge Immersion Seminars. The papers were entitled "Beyond GIS: System Integration and Interfacing," and "DIMP: Regulation Updates, Best Practices, and Implications for Your Organization". Coler & Colantonio, Inc.'s Ed Sweet also attended the European Petroleum User Group (PUG) Meeting in Stavanger, Norway in September. There he presented "Geospatial Solutions & Strategy….. Keeping Pace with a Dynamic, Ever-changing Energy Market".
