JAMES J. COLANTONIO, PE
President


Jim Colantonio is the founder and principal of Coler & Colantonio, Inc. He has over 21 years of experience in the civil and environmental engineering field. His experience includes a wide variety of projects in the private sector and managing large public works projects. His professional experience includes working in the land development business in New England as well as past employment with two nationally recognized consulting engineering firms. While with one of the national firms, he was responsible for opening and managing a branch office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

In the private sector, Jim has worked with major developers in the residential and commercial areas and has provided land acquisition and development services to corporate real estate groups. Major residential developers include: Investors Management Group of Boston, First Development of Boston and Alfred McAlpine of Salem, New Hampshire. Commercial development clients include: Seppala and Aho of Nashua, New Hampshire, Messina Enterprises of Braintree, and Deltech, Inc. of Rockland. Corporate clients include: Digital Equipment Corporation, Fidelity Properties, Liberty Mutual and Christmas Tree Shops.

In the area of public works, Jim has managed a $1.5 million study of water quality in central Oklahoma; participated in the planning, design and construction supervision of what at the time was the largest advanced wastewater treatment plant in the world (in Washington, D.C.); and managed a $3.5 million comprehensive analysis of the wastewater collection system serving the City of Boston. He has also given expert testimony before a federal judge relative to the clean-up of Boston Harbor.
