RONALD
R. COLER, PLS
Vice
President & Principal Survey Engineer
Ron Coler is a co-founder and principal of Coler & Colantonio,
Inc. and has over ten years experience in the consulting engineering
profession as project manager and expert witness. Incorporated in
the formulation of spatial opinion and measurement analysis, Ron's
knowledge encompasses an understanding of land information at the
local level, thereby enabling him to interpret rights, interests,
and spatial extent of real property.
During
his term with Coler & Colantonio, Inc., Ron has supervised the
organized growth of the firm's surveying engineering team, now specializing
in: land surveys, GPS surveys, and engineering/marine surveys. In
addition, Ron has managed and supervised hundreds of surveying engineering
assignments ranging from property line retracement surveys to hydrographic
surveys. His project involvement includes active participation in:
Chapter 183A surveys, Chapter 185 surveys, title insurance surveys,
topographic surveys, hydrographic surveys, deformation surveys,
GPS surveys, industrial alignment surveys, utility/pipeline surveys,
and geo-technical/seismic exploration surveys. Expert witness testimony
includes specific focus on littoral boundaries from a historic and
location perspective.
Prior to the firm's establishment, Ron served as project surveyor,
project manager, and survey manager for a number of established
New England engineering entities. In addition, he had responsible
survey charge with consulting firms in Oklahoma and Wyoming which
provided practical, working experience in the U.S. Public Land Survey
System. While with one consulting engineering firm in Massachusetts,
Ron served as systems manager for an Automated Information Division.
As such, he was responsible for systems operation, maintenance,
and project prioritization. He also supervised and trained operators
in the development of hardware and software applications. Over the
last ten years, Ron has been invited to present seminars in Measurement
Analysis, GPS Surveys, and Survey Engineering Curriculum to various
statewide and regional professional organization.
