Projects - Wastewater Operations

Coler & Colantonio, Inc. was hired to correct a system with an extended and troubled performance history. The system was brought into full compliance within one month of our operations. Our Wastewater Operations Team was retained to run a now expanded system that is roughly twice the size of the original system.

Ocean Edge Resort

The Villages at Brookside is a planned residential community of 78 condominiums that also includes an 18-hole golf course. The project is located in the Village of Pocasset within the Town of Bourne, MA on Cape Cod. Coler & Colantonio, Inc. was retained to design, permit, provide construction support and operate a Wastewater Treatment Facility capable of treating a total design flow of 60,000 gallons per day.

A dual-train Amphidrome system,the largest in the country, was designed and constructed that includes advanced denitrification, disinfection, methanol and alkalinity feeds and odor controls. The DEP approved the system to go on-line after a single clearwater test. The project was successfully completed under a very tight construction deadline that was critical to the owner in that it allowed several families to move in to their new homes the very next week as scheduled.

Our Wastewater Operations Group now operates the Treatment Facility and we also have been retained as engineering consultants to the developer.

The Villages at Brookside

The New England Biolabs site uses an advanced Solar Aquatics Treatment Technology. Our staff was integral in the system’s conception and design. This is a “showcase” installation used for education and public relations purposes.

New England Biolabs

Coler & Colantonio, Inc. was hired to evaluate and improve a system with a poor performance history. Our Wastewater Operations Team returned the plant to compliance and has run it successfully since early 2008.

Weston School System

Coler & Colantonio, Inc. was hired to assist our client with a compliance issue. Our Wastewater Operations Team assisted in mediation with state regulating authorities. We also designed a major system expansion which will be constructed in 2010. We currently operate the wastewater treatment plant and system performance has been significantly improved.

Chatham Bars Inn

Coler & Colantonio, Inc. was hired to evaluate and operate an AmphidromeTM system for this exclusive resort and golf club. The system has been on-line since Spring 2009.
